Get the 2O2O contacts you've always wanted!
Few things are more frustrating than a beautiful run wrecked by your dog missing the contact zone by inches.
But a fantastic 2-on/2-off contact can change that. AND ... you don't have to sacrifice speed for accuracy—at least, not if you train correctly.
Now, imagine walking to the line, brimming with confidence that your canine teammate will nail every contact at lightning speed.
It is possible.
National Champions Dyson Beasley and Karen Morrison have spent years working on contact methodology.
And now they want to help you.
Our method has helped all different breeds and all skill levels, from beginners to National Champions, develop competitive, accurate contacts.
Our expertise is in teaching 2O2O contacts. We love working with all levels of handlers and dogs and our only goal is to help you and your dog develop the contacts of your dreams!
You get 12 weeks of constructive, specific, personalized feedback on your homework. We work directly with you to help you understand and improve your dog's contacts.
"Beyond skills and knowledge, personal traits of honesty, laced with genuinely caring, an ability to motivate and a great sense of humour, these journeys with Dyson have been challenging, but also a lot of fun."
"I cannot recommend highly enough Dyson’s online contact course, from people first starting out in agility who want to do it right from the start, to those with many years’ experience wanting to go back and fill in the gaps. The feedback you receive is extremely thorough, while being easy to understand and implement."
"I never thought I’d say I look forward to courses with contacts in them but now I do as I can trust my dog to drive into position and wait for her release."

Not sure if this course is for you?
Whether you are just starting to teach your first set of 2-on/2-off contacts, or you are re-training your stop contacts, you need solid foundations and this course will get you on the right path (or back on it)!
We recommend your dog is at least 6 months of age. This work is primarily low-impact. Exercises can be adapted for age and breed.
You will have an excellent foundation for your contacts, but you will not have finished contacts.
Your dog (and you) will have outstanding, independent drive to the bottom position, excellent understanding of the release, and incredible impulse control under distraction.
Every dog and situation is different. To have truly proofed and independent contacts, starting from scratch to finished product is about 12 months. And contacts are never really finished! ;)
There are 40+ easy-to-set-up lessons in the course with specific drills to improve your contacts. You also get:
We have an option at the end of the course for ongoing support for a monthly fee.
There are three levels: Foundations, Equipment-Ready, Trial-Ready.
You will need a plank, a perch, and either jumps wings or cones or even a barrel for more advanced work.
The perch for early shaping of the 2O2O position without speed. A 'perch' can be a block of wood, a front door step, or an aerobic step as examples. Something low and stable.
The plank for moving into and out of the 2O2O position at speed. The approximate dimensions of the plank (rubber chipped or similar for dog safety) would be approximately 10 - 12 feet in length and range from 10 - 12 inches wide and 2 inches thick. (Many people use a section of dogwalk placed on the ground and stabilized.)
A fantastic 2O2O gives you all the advantages of running without the downsides. You can still have incredible speed, but more control for turns or off-course situations—and better consistency and more confidence to nail your run when it counts!
While the foundations taught in this course will serve you and your dog well in your see-saw training, the see-saw requires specialized additional training that is not covered in this course. (We are considering an additional see-saw course, but not this go round!) ;)
